The Shanghai World Expo in my eyes
The six-month-long Shanghai World Expo 2010 ended on October 31.As the largest ever World expo ever hosted by a developing country,the event has been a great success.
Over the past three decades,China has developed rapidly and become a big emerging economy in the world.The successful hosting of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai,China's largest city,can serve as a proof of China's rising international influence,just like the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
More than 100 foreign countries participated in the expo,most of them building their own pavilions,and over 60 million people from all over the world visited the expo sites.These record-setting figures showed that the world is paying more and more attention to China and China is becoming more and more open to the outside world.
I take great pride in the Shanghai Expo and my motherland.
