Abstract:As an important approach for Chinese to know about the world, English news has become a main reporting way in the modern society as well as an aspect of people＇s life that cannot be separated. Based on the linguistic characteristic of English news report, this paper has analysed with some examples the techniques for translating English news mainly from three levels; words, sentences and paragraphs. And it aims to make the reading more accurate.
