------the power of knowledge

Hello, everybody !I'm very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.Today my topic is knowledge.
“What do you think is the word that has really changed our world ?”When I was asked about this question for the first time ,without thinking a second time, a word flashed into my mind ——knowledge.
Since the earth with human beings, the knowledge sprouted[sprɑutid] in human wisdom,from the high antiquity[æn'tikwəti]to highly civilized['sivə.laizd] age, each Social progress all shows the great role of knowledge.
The progress of knowledge,promote the history and civilization development.
So, Francis Bacon firmly believe that "knowledge is power" and I'm quite convinced [kən'vinst].
In addition to knowledge and learning, there is no any other force in people's spirit and soul, the human mind and imagine, ideas and beliefs of a rule and authority.
The proletarian[prəulə'teriən] revolutionary mentor Marx,for wrote the "On Capital",he go to the library every day,and he was so hardworking that he let two deep footprints on his seat,and he promoted the development of the world.
Let's imagine, If we don't understand the important of geology,people will not discover the treasure which under the land,if we don't understand the important of science, people will become a disabled person that can not overcome all kinds of barriers,and we will not meet the needs of human existence..
As we all know,all the countries need knowledge to construct and administer[əd'ministə],our school's build also need knowledge.In my opinion,It's very difficult for us to survive in modern cocietywithout any knowledge,and we will be left behind,and easy to beat without knowledge.
Knowledge is the soul of the activities,this shows that ,we can not change the world Without knowledge,and it also prove,knowledge is the word that has changed the world.
