WHAT do you want to be when you grow up?A doctor,a teacher,a reporter or a scientist?It is important for you to have a clear goal in mind.Soon you will have to make a decision about your future.
In two years,you are going to senior middle school.In senior middle school,you’ll have to choose which subjects to learn.
Every student learns
Chinese,math and English in senior middle school.Besides those three subjects,liberal arts students will study politics,history and geography.Science students will study physics,chemistry and biology.
In the college entrance examinations,the two groups will take different tests.
So if you want to be a writer or reporter in the future,you will work hard on liberal arts subjects in senior middle school.If you want to be an engineer or scientist,you will spend more time learning science subjects.
It’s a big decision
Making the decision won’t be easy.Here is some advice:First,take time to think about yourself.Which subjects do you usually do well in on tests?Which subjects interest you most?Which subjects could you improve in,with hard work?
If you can’t decide for yourself,talk to your teachers and parents.They can help you to see things in a new way.
