    In recent years,with such issues as energy crisis and environment deterioration becoming increasingly severe,countries around the global have begun to apply more energy-saving and environment-friendly combined heat and power generation (CHP) to the power generation and heat supply.To begin with,this paper makes a brief introduction to the current conditions and developing trend of CHP at home and abroad,and then presents a detailed analysis of the problems in the CHP development and the basic factors affecting the economic benefits of CHP,as well as its solution and its future overall developing direction.In the second chapter,a technical scheme design to the back-pressure extraction condensing steam turbine unit is proposed,including systematic design and analysis on the technical data.Afterwards,a comparison with the separated production of heat and power in terms of fuel consumption and exhaust emission and a contrast with the popular extraction condensing steam turbine unit in terms of technical data and economical efficiency are discussed,reaching to the conclusion of the advantages and disadvantages of various modes of co-production of combined heat and power.Finally,the design calculation of the heat supply via shell-and-tube exchanger is conducted along with the design content.
