用作動詞 (v.)

wonder的基本意思是“對…感到疑惑”,常指自然界或藝術上的宏偉或新穎、奇特的事物使人驚訝、困惑.wonder也常常表示“想知道”“問自己”,指考慮某事,并且努力猜想,以求對其多了解一些.

當wonder與whether〔if〕連用時,表示“思考某事,并設法判斷該事是否屬實”,也可表示一種委婉的請求或邀請.

wonder既可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞.用作及物動詞時,可接帶疑問詞的動詞不定式以及由that/wh-/if引導的從句作賓語; 用作不及物動詞時,常與介詞about, at連用.

wonder是表示愿望的動詞,通常不用于進行體.只有在表示語氣婉轉時才可用現(xiàn)在進行時,但意義不是“正在想知道”.
