　　情態(tài)動(dòng)詞
　　一：情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的用法：
　　常用的情態(tài)動(dòng)詞有can,may,must,need,should, had better.
　　1. can 的用法：
　?、?表示能力“能,會(huì)”eg: He can speak a little Japanese.他會(huì)說(shuō)一點(diǎn)日語(yǔ).
　?、?表示請(qǐng)求或許可“可以”eg: Can I help you?要我?guī)兔?
　?、?表示猜測(cè) “可能” eg: Where can she go now?她可能到哪里去了呢?
　　2.may 的用法：
　?、俦硎菊?qǐng)求或允許“可以”“準(zhǔn)許” eg: May I gohome,please?請(qǐng)問(wèn)我可以回家嗎?
　　② 表示可能性“ 可能”、也許”eg: I think it may rain this afternoon.我想今天下午可能下雨.
　　注：might為may的過(guò)去式,但也可以代替may,語(yǔ)氣較為婉轉(zhuǎn)客氣或更加不肯定.
　　eg: ① He might not come today.今天他也許不來(lái)了.(語(yǔ)氣不肯定)
　?、赮ou might also get a headache when you work too hard,當(dāng)你工作太努力時(shí),你也可能患頭痛
　　3. must的用法：
　　①表示義務(wù)、必要或命令 “必須、應(yīng)該”eg: You must come early tomorrow．你明天得早來(lái).
　?、?表示推測(cè)時(shí)“肯定,一定” eg: They must be at home.The light is on 他們肯定在家,燈亮著呢.
　　③ must not禁止,不許eg: You must not tell lies.你不許撒謊.
　　注意： ①must開(kāi)頭的疑問(wèn)句,其否定回答通常用 don't have to 或needn't .而不用mustn't
　　eg: ---Must I finish my homework first?我必須先完成作業(yè)嗎?
　　---No, youdon't have to/ needn't. 不,你不必.
　?、赾an 和 must在 表推測(cè)時(shí),can一般否定句中,而must 常用于肯定句中.
　　eg: ①It can not be Li Lei 那個(gè)人不可能是李磊 ② It must beLi Lei 那個(gè)人肯定是李磊.
　　4. need 的用法：
　　① 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞 “需要, 有必要”一般用于否定句或疑問(wèn)句中.
　　eg: You needn't come here this afternoon.你今天下午不必來(lái).
　?、?行為動(dòng)詞“需要, 有必要” 可以用于各種句式中.
　　eg:①You don't need to go now.你不必現(xiàn)在就走. ② I need to have a rest. 我需要休息一下
　?、?Do we need to finish all the work today?我們今天需要完成所有的工作嗎?
　?、踤eed的用法的助記口訣：
　　實(shí)義動(dòng)詞表“需要”,后接名、代、不定式.need后接動(dòng)名詞,主動(dòng)形式表被動(dòng).
　　情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表“需要”,沒(méi)有人稱 數(shù)之變.其后直接加動(dòng)原,多用疑問(wèn)與否定.
　　5.征求許可或給予許可,“我可以•••?”用句型“Can/May/Could/Might I...?”其中"Can I...?"屬于非正式用法,"May I ...?"屬于正式用法."Could/Might I...?"的回答通常不用could或might,而用may或can或其他表示客氣的詞語(yǔ).
　　6.肯定句中表推測(cè)“可能”：can,could,may,might都可以在肯定句中表“可能”.其中can的語(yǔ)氣最強(qiáng),可能性最大,其余依次遞減. 肯定句中表推測(cè)“一定,肯定”用must.
　　7.疑問(wèn)句中表推測(cè)“可能”：用can,could,might,而不能用may.mustn't 不表示推測(cè),而表示禁止.
　　意義為“禁止,不準(zhǔn)”
　　8.否定句中表推測(cè)：may not/might not：可能不 can not/could not：不可能
　　eg: ①You may not be right．你也許不對(duì).② You can not be right．你不可能對(duì).
　　9.以may（表許可或請(qǐng)求）開(kāi)頭的一般疑問(wèn)句的肯定回答用may,否定回答用mustn't或can't.
　　10.表示“必須”時(shí),must表示主觀看法,have to強(qiáng)調(diào)客觀需要.
　　11.ought to和should兩者都表示應(yīng)該,但是ought to比should語(yǔ)氣強(qiáng).
　　12.would rather與than連用,其結(jié)構(gòu)是：would rather...than...或would...rather than.would(rather)和than后面都接動(dòng)詞原形,如果用的動(dòng)詞相同,則than后省去該動(dòng)詞.would rather...than...的意義為“寧愿•••而不是•••”eg:I would rather play football than baseball.我寧愿踢足球而不愿打棒球.
　　13. 情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的助記口訣：
　　情態(tài)動(dòng)詞兩要點(diǎn)：動(dòng)詞原形跟后邊沒(méi)有人稱 、數(shù)之變
　　can 表能力may許可must來(lái)把責(zé)任擔(dān)（必須） 否定回答need換.
　　need需要 dare敢should應(yīng)該 would like愿(意) have to“ 不得不”表客觀.
　　14.had better用法的助記口訣：
　　表示“建議”和“忠告”,had better 為最好.建議某人“最好不•••”,要用 had better not do.
