clothes是衣服的復(fù)數(shù),不能當(dāng)做單數(shù)來用.謂語動(dòng)詞一定用are：
Plain,simple clothes are appropriate for school wear.
簡單樸素的衣服適合在學(xué)校里穿.
謂語一定要用單數(shù)就不能用它了!可以用clothing.clothing是衣服的總稱,也是不可數(shù)的,一件衣服是：a piece of clothing.可以說A piece of clothing is enough for me.一件衣服對(duì)我來說足夠了.
另外值得一提的是：cloth是指布料,原來是不可數(shù)的,但是表示特殊用途的布,就是可數(shù)的.比如桌布.桌布就是table cloth.且可數(shù)!
