在定語從句中
1、關(guān)系代詞：who, whom, which, that, whose
指人：who, whom, whose, that
指物：which, that,whose
2、關(guān)系副詞：when,where,why
作主語,先行詞是人用who/that
先行詞是物用which/that
eg.一個(gè)男孩a boy
一個(gè)能講三國語言的男孩the boy who/that can speak three foreign languages
一扇門a door
一扇木制的門the door which/taht is made of wood
作賓語,先行詞是人用whom/that(who)
先行詞是物用which/that
eg.一個(gè)女孩a girl
一個(gè)警察正在找的女孩the girl whom/that the police are looking for
一把鑰匙a key
一把我昨天弄丟了的鑰匙the key which/that I lost yesterday
whose 作定語,先行詞可以使人,也可以是物,形式為whose + n.
一位學(xué)生a student
一位母親生病的學(xué)生the student whose mother is ill
一個(gè)房子a house
一個(gè)窗子面朝南的房子the house whose windows face south
eg.I saw a tree. Its leaves were black.
→I saw a tree whose leaves were black.
=I saw a tree of which the leaves were black.
先行詞指人：
whose + n. =the + n.+ of whom(或of whom + the + n.)
先行詞指物：
whose + n. =the + n.+ of which（或of which.+ the + n.)
