1.18世紀(jì)以來的英語語法強(qiáng)調(diào)than是連詞而不是介詞 也就是說
Bill is taller than him.應(yīng)改為 Bill is taller than he (is).
但是會出現(xiàn)It surprises him more than me.
因?yàn)檫@里是It surprises him more than it surprises me.
現(xiàn)在的語法認(rèn)為 除了像Shakespeare Johnson Swift Scott Faulkner的大作家中的作品中還會出現(xiàn)than me這樣的情況 一般的作家或者正式書面用語中都不會再出現(xiàn)把 than 理解為介詞
故第一個問題 意思上等于 但是前者更加正式 后者非正式（語法學(xué)家認(rèn)為是錯的）
2.who引導(dǎo)定語從句 從句中的動詞單復(fù)數(shù)根據(jù)修飾的詞 在主句中friends是修飾的成分 也就說修飾的是復(fù)數(shù)名詞 那么這里的動詞當(dāng)然要用復(fù)數(shù)形式
定語從句中的結(jié)構(gòu)基本按照陳述句語序
I like to have friends.
They are diff from me.
合并的時候 把they 改為who 那么就是上述語序了 表示喜歡交不一樣的朋友
再比如
I want to visit Tom.
He was hurt by his girl friend.
合并為I want to visit Tom who was hurt by ...
3.careful是care 的形容詞形式 后者是關(guān)心 前者是關(guān)切的 仔細(xì)的

這嬰孩需要精心照料
動詞
I don't care what they say.
我不在乎他們說什么（及物動詞）
I don't care for coffee.
我不喜歡喝咖啡（不及物動詞 care for = like）
Do you care if I go?
如果我去的話 你不介意吧?（不及物動詞）
careful 形容詞
1.of/about/with 2.to do 3.doing 4.+ Wh- 5.+(that)
John was careful not to say anything about this to her.
約翰小心翼翼 避免向她提及此事.
Be careful with the dynamite.
當(dāng)心這炸藥
A good writer is careful about details.
凡是優(yōu)秀作家都重視細(xì)節(jié)的描寫
I am always careful when crossing a street.
我過馬路時總是很小心的
