rise和raise都有"上升,升起,上漲,舉起"等意思
但是rise多用于不及物動(dòng)詞(rise后面不加賓語),raise是及物動(dòng)詞(raise后面要加賓語).
還有個(gè)簡單的方法,一般事物自身可以升高,上升的,常用rise,例如太陽東升,河水上漲.而raise一般是人為地讓事物升高,例如舉起胳膊,提高薪水等.
The sun rose at seven o'clock.
太陽七點(diǎn)鐘升起.
The river is rising after the rain.
雨后河水漲了.
The plane was then able to rise and it cleared the mountains by 400 feet.
"這時(shí)飛機(jī)能上升了,并在距山頭400英尺的高度飛越了山頭."
