The Chinese Spring Festival comes on the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year,which is usually in February.There is a name for each year,such as the dog,the monkey,the tiger or one of the twelve animals,and this year is the year of the rabbit.
Before the New Year’s Day,our family usually give the houses a good cleaning and on the last evening of the old year,all the members of my family will get together and have a big meal.On the first or second day of the new year,parents and I usually go to visit our relatives and friends and give some lucky money to children.
I wish everybody have a good time during the Spring Festival.
Topic2:Practice Makes Perfect諺語：熟能生巧
Recently my mother told me that practice makes perfect .It means after you have plenty of practice in what you are doing,and you will be perfect in it.
For example,when I learn English,I have to learn grammar,words,expressions and so on.The most important thing may be how to put what we have learned into practice.If you only learn the grammar rules by heart and don’t do enough exercises,it is certain that you can’t understand them perfectly.But if you practice a lot,maybe you will understand them more deeply and you can find some good methods of using them.
So if you want to improve your study and work,you should remember that practice makes perfect.
Topic:Winter vacation
My winter vacation of this year was very enjoyable.I went to the countryside to spend my holidays.It is very beautiful there.There are a lot of plants,lovely animals and kind people.I spent three weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there.I wrote down what happened in my diary every day.
I have the same routine from Monday to Friday.I usually get up at five fifty.Then I have breakfast.At six thirty,I go to farm.I go to there on foot.At eleven thirty,we go home for lunch.In the afternoon,I helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons.I helped them read English and improve their spoken English.Their parents thanked me for this .After class,we often have sports in the playground.At five,I go grandparents' home.After supper,I do my homework.At about ten,I go to bed.I am happy every day in my hometown.
