”形近字"用英文怎么說?What do you call words that are spelled similarly?
英文同義字叫synonym,反義詞叫antonym,同形字homonym ,同形異音字 heteronym 等等.那么型近字是什么呢?也應(yīng)該有個什么什么nym結(jié)尾的專業(yè)詞語形容這類詞吧?
中文里形近字比如“欄”和“攔”,“粗獷”和“粗曠”.英文的形近字：corol,corrol拼寫相像,發(fā)音意義都不同.再舉例,personal和personnel,拼寫與發(fā)音相近,但意思不同.再有comb,womd,bomb,tomb,拼寫都是“形”同,音不同,意不同.這樣的形近字,用英語里叫什么呢?甚至英語里有“形近字”有這樣的概念嗎?Don't tell me it's called "rhyming words",please...
This sounds like an easy question,but it drives you nuts,huh?貌似很簡單,但是我金山詞霸,好易通牛津詞典,劍橋高階辭典都查過了,and I ain't found nothing...
So,once again,I'm looking for a term which represents words that are spelled similarly,they may rhyme because their spellings are similar to each other,but this doesn't matter,as long as they look "alike",you know.So,is there anyone who could find out the linguistic jargon for this?
Actually,I don't really think such a term exists in English,and the Americans simply call them "rhyming words"...
