經(jīng)濟(jì)重要：the urgent task is to develop economy on a large scale.Surely they have very good reasons to support their viewpoints.China is still a developing country.Although we have made great progress in improving the lives of the people since the open-up policy was adopted in late 1970s,the living standard of our people is still rather low compared to that of the western countries.In some of the poverty-stricken areas,some people even can’t manage to get enough food to feed their families.Many poor children at school age have to drop out of school just because their families can’t afford the tuition fees.Obviously the only way to tackle all these problems is to further develop economy.
保護(hù)環(huán)境重要：environment protection should be a top priority.Their reasons are hardly refutable as well.As the economy develops,a great deal of waste gases and poisonous water are arbitrarily emitted and the environment has already been seriously polluted.In many places the rivers are contaminated so badly that people can hardly find suitable source of drinking water.In some cities,especially those large metropolitans like Guangzhou,the air is so severely polluted that people not only can hardly see the blue sky or white cloud,but also have to face big health risks.In one word,the environmental pollution has brought great threat to people’s health and survival.Therefore,it is very urgent for both the government and every citizen to take effective measures to reduce pollution and protect the environment.
