This is an illustration of my family broken series topic.
The boy hates his parents because of their divorce. Both of them did not want to take care about the boy after they begun another relationships. The boy is in loneliness and self-closing. He has some wired behaviour but nobody knows.
We can see the boy was hurted deeply by his terrible family relationship. Shouldn't we give those children more attentions and love?

The Venus consistent with contemporary appreciation of the beauty as a Chinese
My ESL teacher is an artist, who finished MFA in Visual Arts program at University of British Columbia. She guided me and gave me suggestions when I prepareed this arts portofolio at beginning. She told me it does not matter painting skill is good or not. The key is what ideas you thought. She asked me to show her some paintings I have drawn and explained it. But I can not answer immediately. (This is also the reason why I did not take any of my early art works in this art portfolio.) She guided me. "You need a topic before you paint something. If you did not have any idea right now, just thinking about generation. Do something belong your generation. After that, When I paint something, I always think about generation before.
Chinese Non-mainstream as a kind of teenagers culture turns up. I would not like to admit it as a representive of our generation in China but the fact is that there are a lot 90S advocate this culture. They love to photoshop their photos. Zoom in eyes and make their face shape perfect look like the person in Japanese Animation. Losing weight is another popular t topic todays. So I put these two obvious appearances of my generation in this piece of work.
I changed the Rossetti's "Venus" to this popular style in China by photoshop . Pointed face, big eyes and fake eyelash. Although the skill is very simply (by Photoshop only), it is something unique and belong to my generation. (90'S)
