When I was young,I had heard that there is a book named Pride and Prejudice in the world.But,I have prejudice against this book because of these two words withderogatory term.During my days in senior high school,our English teacher,Mrs.Ru GE introduced Pride andPrejudice.She had brought first three chapters of it.I had forcedmyself to read them.I had found that it was funny.For example,Mr.Bennet’sanswer to his wife is:You want to tell me,and I have no objection tohearing it.Then,Mrs.GE had told us Prideand Prejudice was a novel about couples of young love.Finally,I endedmy prejudice to Pride and prejudice.
The author of Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen,an English novelist whose worksof romantic fiction.She has a place as one of the most widely read writers inEnglish literature.Her realism,biting irony and social commentary have gainedher historical importance among scholars and critics.During the time I read onthe internet,I found that Jane Austen lived her entire life as part of aclose-knit family located on the lower fringes of the English landed gentry.She was educated primarily by her father and older brothers as well as throughher own reading.It is not surprising that a woman like to read book as alittle girl became an authoress.Jane Austen also wrote Sense and Sensibility,Mansfield Park,Emma,Northanger Abbey and Persuasion.She is amazing.In 2013,the British centralbank announced that Jane Austen's picture will be printed on the new version of10 pounds notes in order to pay tribute to the world famous authoress.
First time,I found that there were many new words and namesof people.I used to make marks and underline.So,I read Pride and Prejudice second timewithout troubles.In our really life,we should end our prejudice through communication.Some mainlanders say:Peoplefrom Sinkang are ungrateful barbaric men.Although government have all kinds ofpreferentialpolicy,they still keep doing terrorism.People from Sinkang say:Wesent oil to Peking and Shanghai,we sent natural resources to Peking andShanghai,they get wealth,but we are still poor.Even worth is they judge allof us as terrorist.I think the number of this guys with prejudice in theirheart is small.What we need is communication.We should visit each other andenjoy all kinds of good view.When we understand the real color of each other,the prejudices and the estrangement between us will be finished.
