at the end of一般是具體指什么東西的最后、末,比如說at the end of the year這樣
at last只能指時(shí)間位置,而不能指時(shí)間順序,在語義上指經(jīng)過,周折,等待,耽擱后的“最后,終于”得到所期待的結(jié)果.
1 At last ,he passed the exam .最后他終于通過了考試.（可用in the end代替）
2 His chance came at last.他的機(jī)會(huì)終于來了.（強(qiáng)調(diào)他為獲得此機(jī)會(huì)進(jìn)行的各種努力.）
3 The war had been long and hard,but now there was peace at last.
經(jīng)過漫長而艱苦的戰(zhàn)爭,現(xiàn)在和平終于到來了.
finally 指一系列事物或論點(diǎn)的順序,在列舉事物時(shí)可以用來引出最后一項(xiàng)內(nèi)容 finally 在意義上與用法上與at last 有共同之處,但也有不同.finally 既可指時(shí)間位置（相當(dāng)于at last和in the end）,也可指時(shí)間的先后順序.finally 有兩個(gè)用法：一是在列舉事物或論點(diǎn)時(shí),可用來引出最后一項(xiàng)內(nèi)容；二是用在句中動(dòng)詞前面,表示“等了好久才……”.
eg.Finally I’d like to thank you all for your coming .最后我要感謝諸位的光臨.（不能用at last）
2 They waited and waited ,and the concert finally started.他們等啊等啊,最后音樂會(huì)終于開始了.
3 Three policemen rode past on their motorbikes ,then came the TV broadcasting car and finally the Marathon runners.三個(gè)警察騎著摩托過去了,接著來了電視廣播車,最后過來的是馬拉松賽跑選手.
in the end 表示結(jié)局,有時(shí)可與at last 換用,不同的是in the end 也可以用于指將來時(shí),其余兩個(gè)則不行.
（1）All will come right in the end .到頭來一切都會(huì)好的.
（2）He tried many times to pass the examination ,and in the end he succeeded.他多次努力想通過考試,最后成功了.
