應(yīng)該是 may not be.例如：

In view of this, the decision may not be easy.考慮到這點(diǎn),可能很難作出決定.

The hen may not be ableto feed its young. 雌鳥可能無法給幼鳥喂食.

The list may not be complete.這個單子可能不全.

不僅 not 要跟在 may 后,在否定中,否定詞 not 只能跟在系動詞 be、助動詞和情態(tài)動詞后.如：

He is not a coward. 他不是懦夫.

I do not have any chance. 我沒有機(jī)會.（助動詞 do 后）

You have not got it. 你還沒有領(lǐng)會意思.（助動詞 have 后）

Such things can not happen. 這樣的事情不可能發(fā)生.（情態(tài)動詞 can 后）

You must not go there alone. 你一定不要單獨(dú)去那里.（情態(tài)動詞 must 后）
