    Breakfast
    Breakfast can be a light meal consisting of a croissant or roll,with jam or marmalade,with fruit juice and tea or coffee.A large meal with perhaps a cereal and grilled bacon,sausages and eggs is known as an ‘English’ or ‘cooked’ breakfast.
    Snack
    Snacks are small items of food between main meals.They may vary from elaborate food to a simple packet of biscuits or a bag of nuts.
    Lunch/Dinner
    The meals are served at midday and in the evening respectively.The meal services can be quite couple.Some of the large international airlines have many different kinds of service,and the cabin attendants must be familiar with service procedures of each one.For example,# 1 FICL would be a course-by-course lunch or dinner for first-class passengers,# 7 EY would be an Economy-class breakfast service,BJ would be juice,coffee and tea for breakfast service,LC would be cold lunch,BD would be a buffet dinner,RB would be a refresh ment service consisting of a light snack box service.Most airlines try to vary the food service from one part of the flight to another.This helps passenger to get rid of boredom on the longer flights.
    The service for first class can be quiet elaborate at times.On some carriers,the large planes even have a separate dining room.The passengers can sit at tables instead of at their seats.In this case the service is similar to that in a fine restaurant,with many different courses and wines.In the economy class,the procedure is much simpler,although there is still a lot for the cabin attendants to do.Sometimes menus are given away on international flights,even when there is no choice of food.Passengers like to know what they will be having for their meal,and the menus also serve as a souvenir if the flight.
    There are basically there types of economy service.They are dish-up service,cold plates and casserole meals.There are special cabin and galley procedures for serving each and they are generally similar,expect for first-class service,which is much more elaborate.In general,the procedures in economy class are:
    1.give away menus 2.feed children first 3.serve coffee or another drink after passengers have received their meals 4.Pick up trays from passengers who have finished and return the trays to the galley.
    The major parts of good food service are the quality of the food,the preparation and the service itself.The other depend largely on the cabin attendants in providing meal and drink service may help a passenger to choose the same airline for his next flight.
