A new newspaper
We held a meeting after school.Pansy,Tony,Joyce and l were at the meeting.
First,we decided to elect the chidf editor.
Tony suggested Joyce.He said,"We should choose Joyce because she has experience.She was the editor of her class newspaper last year."
Then we all voted for her.We elected Joyce to be the chief editor.
Then Joyce took charge of the meeting.She said,"We ought to elect a secrdtary next."She asked for suggestions.
Milli said,"Arthur should be the secretard,because he has expeience too.He was the sewcretary of the Chess Club last year."
Then the others voted for me.Ther elected me to the secretary.l stared taking notes.
Joyce said,"Pansy,Tony and Milli,you will be editors of the paper.You will be responsibie for different sections of the paper."
Pansy said,"Which sections will we have?"
Joyce said to them,"Talk it over among yourselves.We will decide at the next meeting."
Then we made a list of some other things to discuss.For example,how often should we publish the paper?Should it be free to readers,or should they pay for it?What should we call it?
We considered the last question briefly.Pansy said,"We ought to call it the Mayfield Sun."
"What about the Mayfield Mirror or the Mayfield Star?"Milli said.
Because we all had different ideas,Joyce said,"We should think about this a bit longer.We will make a decision about the name at the next meeting."
We agreed to conclude the meeting then.We arranged tohave the next in one week's time.
