First, we learn to see things in perspective as we grow mature. As we become older and gain more experience, we learn to view things from different perspectives. We'll become better at managing our relationships with others. We know what to say and avoid sensitive issues in a conversation so as not to offend any parties. Sometimes when dealing with other people, we tend to be more tolerant when something unpleasant happens. We know how to put ourselves in other's shoes so that we can be empathic enough to understand their situations. Our ability to discern between the good and the bad will improve , so we are less likely to make faulty judgments.
Second, being mature will make you someone others can rely on. The way we talk and act will always be judged by others. If we act in a childish manner, people will see us as being playful. They won't share any important or personal information with us because they think that someone who is not mature is not able to keep secrets. Neither will they seek advice from us when they are faced with problems as someone childish is always seen as unreliable and cannot be of much help when it comes to solving problems.
Third, being mature can help you build up your identity. It helps you to be distinguised from others because mature people tend to be well respected. It will become your symbol and you are more likely to gain recognition when doing something. Your friends would like to stay around you because they will see you as someone they can get on well with and someone they can share things with.
