What a splendid newsletter
you have commenced.
Graduates always have fond
memories of their Alma
Mater and eagerly seize on
any morsel of news or gossip
that becomes available.
Thus the historical note
on the beginnings of the
Horticultural Department
(September Issue) by Mac
Morrison was valuable.He
was of course the driving
force and had the knack of
attracting and encouraging
excellent staf.
When Lincoln was granted
University status albeit on a
rather thin mix of traditional
University disciplines I have no
doubt that those originating
in the Horticulture Dept were
among the stronger strands.
