not … until,until
A.until表示動作、狀態(tài)的持續(xù),強調(diào)“一直到……為止”,或強調(diào)某個動作或狀態(tài)一直持續(xù)到另一個動作或狀態(tài)出現(xiàn)之前.常與表示延續(xù)性動作的動詞連用.
如：* I waited until three o’clock,but he didn’t come.* He lived with his parents until he graduated from college.
B.not … until表示“到……為止；直到……才”,常與表示瞬間性動作的動詞連用.
如：* The noise of the street didn’t stop until midnight.* The children didn’t come home until it was dark.* I didn’t know the truth until you told me.
