1、for the lastfew years 表示“近幾年以來(lái)”,多與完成時(shí)態(tài)連用,含持續(xù)時(shí)間的意思.


The controversy has waged for the last few years.近幾年以來(lái),論戰(zhàn)一直在進(jìn)行.
After  having made his pile by working in industry for the last few years, he moved to the country and bought a farm. 最近幾年以來(lái),他在工業(yè)方面干到發(fā)財(cái)之后搬到鄉(xiāng)村,買下一個(gè)農(nóng)場(chǎng).


2、in the lastfew years 有兩層含義


   1）與將來(lái)時(shí)連用表示“在最近幾年以后”,含后續(xù)時(shí)間的意思,如：


In the last few years we may no longer have a monarchy.最近幾年后,君主政體可能將不復(fù)存在.
In the last years you'll have no bloody things. 這幾年后,你們不會(huì)再有任何該死的東西了.




2）與和一般時(shí)態(tài)連用表示“在近幾年中”,含有不外延時(shí)間的意思,如：


They have amassed a fortune in the last few years.他們?cè)诮鼛啄甑臅r(shí)間里就聚集了一筆財(cái)富.　　For the last few years（近幾年來(lái)）表示的是一段持續(xù)的時(shí)間，而went to work 是一縱即逝的行為，二者不能用在一起。可以把后面的改為能夠延續(xù)的完成進(jìn)行時(shí) I have been working at the underground（我一直都在地鐵工作來(lái)著）或現(xiàn)在完成時(shí) I have worked at the underground（我一直都在地鐵工作）。
