提問幾天了,還是一個回答,納悶.也許是覺得原文寫得不錯吧!不過,以相互探討為出發(fā)點,我還是表達一些建議：句子結(jié)構(gòu)沒太大問題,但表達方式可以再改進,使文章更流暢.
某些用詞也有斟酌的余地.如：
有或含有不一定是用 had, 可以用其他同義詞替代,使句子更生動.
Mastered the usage of GPS….. 你是指掌握運用GPS或其使用技巧,而usage 一般是指東西的用途、用法,所以換成 application 或use 較合適.
至于 skill,作為名詞,當然復(fù)數(shù)可以加s; 不過,在a systematic geological skills training…., 這個skill 已不能當名詞加s,因為training才是名詞了；所以一樓的說法是對的.例子：information technologies 可以有s, information technology industry 就不能加s了.
只是一些淺見,僅供參考.

From the training, I had learnt the method of collecting rock samples, geological profile survey and geological mapping, as well as mastered the application of GPS PDA and mapping software. The most important benefit I had gained was the recognition of the value of teamwork and the meaning of the school motto, “Hard work and plain living; realistic and pragmatic”.
