This paper not only tells the story of glass curtain wall from its appearance to the present development and its advantages and disadvantages in each stage,but also analyzes the future trends of glass curtain wall and also gives suggestions.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the influence and contribution of glass curtain wall to urban construction and the sustainable development from the point of view of environmental protection.Furthermore,the author tries to change the formerly view of people that negative effects of glass curtain wall are greater than its contributions.
