1.a difficulty 改為 difficult,這是it is + adj.+ for sb.to do sth.的句型.
2.去掉thought (可能題目是though),as可以引導(dǎo)倒裝的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句,倒裝指的是把句子的表語(yǔ)、狀語(yǔ)或動(dòng)詞原形提到句首,但是句子的主謂并不倒裝.
此時(shí)應(yīng)注意：一是若提前的表語(yǔ)是沒(méi)有形容詞修飾的單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞,要省略不定冠詞,如：
Boy as he was,he behaved like a girl.他雖是個(gè)男孩,但舉止卻像個(gè)女孩.
二是若提前的是動(dòng)詞原形(多為不及物動(dòng)詞),與之連用的通常是may,might,will,
would等,且這些詞都要保留在原來(lái)的位置上(主語(yǔ)后),如：
Try as he would,he couldn’t open the door.他試過(guò)多次了,卻仍打不開(kāi)那門(mén).
Search as they would,they would find nobody in the house.無(wú)論怎樣搜查,他們?cè)诜孔永锶匀粵](méi)有找到一個(gè)人.
其他例子：Tired as I was,I tried to help them.雖然我很累,我還是努力幫助他們.
Hard as they tried,they couldn’t make her change her mind.盡管他們做了很大努力,卻沒(méi)法讓她改變主意.
