search for一般是很認(rèn)真正式的尋找,比如說(shuō)i look for you for a while可以在東張西望找了人一會(huì)后說(shuō),如果換成search for,那么就是類似你以尋找失蹤者的那種態(tài)度去找的（稍微夸張點(diǎn),不過(guò)大概就是這個(gè)區(qū)別）
look for還有指望,期待,盼望的意思,比如 你代表你們班級(jí)去比賽,你們班級(jí)的同學(xué)會(huì)說(shuō) “we all look for you” 就是 “我們都指望你拉” 比如 “we all look for the finals of world cup 2010" 就是“我們都期待著2010南非世界杯的決賽”
