過去分詞做狀語的用法
1．過去分詞作時間狀語
Seen from the hill, the town looks beautiful. 從山上看時,這座城鎮(zhèn)非常美麗.
When completed, the canal will connect the river and the lake. 到完工的時候,這條運河將把江和湖連接起來.
2．地點狀語
The graduates say they will go wherever needed. 畢業(yè)生們說：哪兒需要他們,他們就到哪兒去.
3．原因狀語
He soon fell asleep, exhausted by the journey. 由于旅途勞累, 他很快就睡著了.
Greatly surprised, he couldn't say a word. 由于大吃一驚,他一句話也說不出來.
4．條件狀語
Coated with sugar, the bananas will taste better.這些香蕉如裹上糖衣,味道會更好
Given more time, I will do much better. 如果給我更多的時間,我會做得更好.
5．伴隨狀語
She stared at me, astonished. 她兩眼望著我,十分驚異.
