LIU Xiang got his first world championship crown at 2007 LAAF championships in Osaka.He got first place in the 110-meter hurdies in 12.95 seconds on August 31.
The 24-year-old said after the race that he's very happy.
Eberybody wants to get a world title.I was under pressure to get the gold medal but I tried deal with it,he said.
"Now I will have even more pressure than before.But this is something I will need to deal with to keep winning."
Some people noticed that at the start of the race,Liu Xiang's eyes were full of tears.But that was not a sign of weakness.That is Liu Xiang's way of dealing with pressure.
"My start wasn't good,maybe because I was nervous,"he said.
"After I jumped the last hurdle,I couldn't stand it anymore.Ihad a look around to see how everybody else was doing and ran at my fastest speed.
