Shanghai,8 September 2008:More than 2,000 people turned up to apply for jobs at a special recruitment day held for the new Conrad Shanghai at the weekend,signaling strong interest among Chinese people in joining the contemporary luxury hotel brand.
Despite reports that a tourism boom in China has created a talent shortage,the Conrad Shanghai was able to easily appoint the required staff following the recruitment day.
Ester Zheng,Director of Human Resources for Conrad’s newest hotel says:“We were delighted with the response,particularly as there have been reports about a talent shortage in China”.
