at the end of和by the end of都可以加時(shí)間段的,例如Are there any examinations at the end of term?學(xué)期結(jié)束時(shí)有考試嗎?其中terms的含義就是學(xué)期,可以說是一段時(shí)間.We shall finish the civil work by the end of the year.在年底前我們將完成土建工作.其中的the year其實(shí)也是一段時(shí)間的.區(qū)別其中的含義是比較重要的,不能單純說哪個(gè)加時(shí)間段或者時(shí)間點(diǎn).at the end of在…結(jié)尾,在…末端,后面可以加一個(gè)名詞,除了時(shí)間外還可以加表示事物或者地點(diǎn)的名詞；by the end of到…為止,后面也是可以加一個(gè)時(shí)間名詞,如the year,the day,the month等等,如果硬要說時(shí)間點(diǎn)或者段的話,則at the end of就是時(shí)間段嘍,by the end of也是接時(shí)間點(diǎn)嘍!by the end of一般都是加的時(shí)間名詞,翻譯過來就是到某個(gè)時(shí)刻為止,如果是到某個(gè)地點(diǎn)或者事物為止,意義就不符了,那么此時(shí)at the end of就更加符合意思了,也就是在某個(gè)位置的結(jié)尾,時(shí)間的末端或者某個(gè)地點(diǎn)的轉(zhuǎn)彎處.
