Throughout its existence of more than 150 years, the Expo will bring new knowledge from a specific period of time and trend of development, reflecting the human civilization. The main attractions of the first session of the World Expo in 1851 in the Crystal Palace in London: almost 500 meters long palace built of cast iron and glass. Subsequently, the participating countries will offer similar advantages to introduce from time to time every few years.
Today EXPO is the economic and cultural Olympiad of the world, a competition among nations, as well as among exhibitors from the private sector on a given subject. At the same time, it is about marketing countries internationally. Expositions of the first category last a maximum of 6 months and may be held on an enormous area. But at a time when information as well as goods can be had through the internet and other technologies, they remain a place of rendezvous and of authentic experiences.
縱觀其超過(guò)150年的存在,世博會(huì)帶來(lái)大量的時(shí)間和特定時(shí)期的發(fā)展趨勢(shì),新知識(shí),反映了人類文明.對(duì)世博會(huì)第一次會(huì)議的主要景點(diǎn),1851年在倫敦水晶宮：近500米長(zhǎng)的宮殿鑄鐵和玻璃建造.隨后,與會(huì)各國(guó)將提供類似的優(yōu)勢(shì),不時(shí)引進(jìn)每隔數(shù)年時(shí)間.

The theme of Expo 2010 is “Better City, Better Life”.上海世博會(huì)的主題是“城市,讓生活更美好”.
Why do we set this theme?為什么會(huì)確立這個(gè)主題呢?
The core value can be interpreted as following: The City, built by people, has been evolving and growing into an organic system. People are the most dynamic cells with the best ability to innovate in this system. People’s life is closely interactive with the urban morphology and development.
With the raped urbanization, a more extensive relationship and interaction has been established between the city organic system and earth’s biosphere and resource system. People, city and eart are just like three organic systems linking with each other and fusing into the integrity throughout the whole process of urban development.
其核心思想可以這樣理城市史人創(chuàng)造的,它不斷地演進(jìn)、演化和成長(zhǎng)為一個(gè)有機(jī)系統(tǒng).人是這個(gè)有機(jī)系統(tǒng)中最具活力和最富有創(chuàng)新能力的細(xì)胞.人的生活與城市的形態(tài)和發(fā)展密切互動(dòng).隨著城市化進(jìn)程的加速,城市的有機(jī)系統(tǒng)與地球大生物圈和資源體系之間相互作用也日益加深和擴(kuò)大.人、城市和地球三個(gè)有機(jī)系統(tǒng)環(huán)環(huán)相扣,這種關(guān)系貫穿了城市發(fā)展的歷程,三者也將日益融合成為一個(gè)不可分割的整體.
For further reflect of the theme "Better City, Better Life", five sub-themes are defined;they are "Blending of Diverse Cultures in the City","Economic Prosperity of the City", "Innovation of Science and Technology in the City", "Remodeling of Urban Communities", and "Rural-urban Interaction".
為了更好地理解“城市,讓生活更美好”,上海世博會(huì)還設(shè)有五個(gè)副主題分別是“城市多元文化的融合”、“城市經(jīng)濟(jì)的繁榮”、“城市科技的創(chuàng)新”、“城市社區(qū)的重塑”、“城市和鄉(xiāng)村的互動(dòng)”.

Ladies and gentlemen the World Expo is coming.What should we do as a student of Shanghai.
The first ,study English hard.Millions of foreigners will visit Shanghai during 2010 World Expo.So we must study the international language harder.
The second,be polite,be civilized.Do it from little things.Like do not spit sputum in rude.When you do somethings ,remember ladies first.In all,be a kind and polite man.
