as if (= as though) 意思是“好像……,仿佛……”,是個(gè)連詞,引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句.例如：
He makes it seem as if it were one of the best meals he has ever had.
關(guān)于as if 的用法比較復(fù)雜一些,請(qǐng)注意以下幾個(gè)問題：
1.as if 引導(dǎo)的從句經(jīng)常用虛擬語氣.從上面的句子可以看出,主句都是現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài),as if從句都是過去時(shí)態(tài),這說明as if 從句表示的意思與事實(shí)不符或者相反.例如：
He walks as if he were drunk.
My neighbor treats the child as if he were their own son.
2.但是,如果句子表達(dá)的意思與事實(shí)并沒有什么不符,那么就不使用虛擬語氣.例如：
He heard a noise,as if someone was breathing.
It looks as if it is going to rain.
3.as if 經(jīng)常和look,seem 連用.例如：
She looks as if she is (were) ill,because her face is pale.
It seemed as if there was a fight between the two sides.
4.as if 從句中的主語如果和主句主語相同,而且謂語動(dòng)詞有be,則從句主語和謂語經(jīng)常省略.例如：
She stood at the gate as if (she was) waiting for someone.
The teacher shouted at the boy as if (he was) angry.
