用關(guān)系代詞來代替,或用,“介詞+關(guān)系代詞來代替”.當“介詞+關(guān)系代詞”在從句中作
時間,地點,原因狀語時,用關(guān)系副詞when,where,why,來替換.
例：I visited the place.I was born in the place.第二個句子作從句.放在先行詞the place之 后.
I visited the place (I was born in which).從句中的the place用關(guān)系代詞代替.
I visited the place (in which I was born ).并提到句首,引導定語從句.
I visited the place (where I was born ).in which 作時間地點狀語,用where替換,從而形成定從.
例：I visited the place.He didn't know the place.
I visited the place(He didn't know the place).主句中共同的詞是先行詞,將從句放主句后.
I visited the place(He didn't know which).共同的詞the place在從句中用關(guān)系代詞which/that代替.
I visited the place(which he didn't know ).which提到句首引導定從.
