Why I choose to work at a hotel?
I am not working for a hotel because of having no other choices, but rather is was by my own choice. Of course one of the reasons is the pay. Although not everyone working in a hotel in paid well but I am working there as a porter, which is on top of my basic pay, I often have handsome tips from posh guests (because where I work is a five star hotel). So, my pay is quite good. Furthermore, working for a hotel also has many other benefits too such as free meals, unlike working in an office, which you have to buy your own lunch everyday.
My other reason for working in a hotel is that I am fond of learning English. Hotels are ideal places to meet all walk of lives from a lot of countries all over the world, and English is most commonly used, and I like chatting to my good English speaking guests, so I can learn English while I am at work, which is giving me a great deal of improvement in my spoken English. Therefore it is actually my main reason for working in a hotel!
