As the population in large cities has been increasing at a rapid rate,more and more public transportation need to be built there.This essay will look at some advantages of public transportation.
First of all,public transportation,such as trains,buses,and air planes,enables us to travel to many places more easily.For example,if we want to go somewhere by train,we just check the train map and time table.It can take you to the destination with any problems.Besides trains are very punctual,so you can always make it on time.
Second,Public transportation is friendly to the environment.We can share a bus or a train with a lot of people instead of one person or two using a car.Needless to say,it can reduce the consumption of gas which causes air-pollution.Also,we can save natural resources which will run out sooner or later.
In addition to these advantages,public transportation can improve traffic conditions.Now,traffic congestion is one of the biggest problems a lot of major cities are facing.If more people starts to use public transportation,however,there will be less transportation on the busy roads.
For these reasons,public transportation has a lot of advantages.Therefore,we should try to use it as much as we can to improve accessibility,the environment,and traffic conditions.
