兩個都是倒裝語法點
屬于方位副詞位于句首的倒裝,你把他們還原成正常語序就是：
the box they had been looking for (lay) on the floor.
顯然是過去式,如果選D,沒有動詞了,得加was
第二個還原成正常語序：
the wholl city could be seen from the top of the hill
