If you try to accelerate a bowling ball by kicking it,you may become painfully aware of Newton third law.As you kick the ball,your toes will feel the equal force the ball is exerting on you.If you exert a force on a baseball to stop it,the ball also exerts a force on you.These are examples of the forces described in Newton third law:When one object exerts a force on a second object,the second exerts a force on the first that is equal in magnitude but opposite in direction.According to Newton third law,if you exert a small force on the ball,it exerts a small force on you.The larger the force you exert on the ball,the stronger its force is on you.The magnitudes are always equal.These two forces are often called action-reaction forces.
