EQ is Emotional "Intelligence"(EI) Quotient,which refers to the ability to perceive,control,and evaluate emotions.Some researchers suggest that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened,while other claim it is an inborn characteristic.A number of testing instruments have been developed to measure emotional intelligence,although the content and approach of each test varies.So,what is your emotional intelligence quotient?Does it matter more than your IQ in career?
For many think that having a good EQ is very important,as important as your IQ or even more important than your IQ.Well,personally,I believe the latter,because IQ is only what you may capable of doing things intelligently but you still have to make good use of your intelligence rationally in order to be fully benefited from it.Sometimes when you are under pressure,you may not be able to perform as good as otherwise you would have done better without emotional pressure.Therefore controlling of your emotion is very important and enablesyou to do things calmly,reasonably and correctly.
Thus,first,you must have a good IQ then you must have a good EQ to make good use of your IQ and capabilities.In other words,EQ is more important than IQ.If you want to succeed in your career,then you must have a good EQ as well as a good IQ,like the research suggests,if you don't have a good EQ then you can and you should try to learn and strength it.
