'Quitting smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I've done it hundreds of times.' When people hear someone say this many would burst into laughter. The easiest thing is to do it again
and again and the hardest thing is to do it once with success. It is easy for someone to
make New Year resolution but hard to continue to do as the resolution demands. A strong will
plays an important role here. Without a strong will can man never clear away any addictive
behaviour. A strong will will stop one from living with bad habit and committing a crime.
A strong will can enable a man to bear hardship without complaining, which can be
demonstrated by the brave heroes in a battle field, by a sport star in his hard competition
and by a persistent scientist. As students we are in an important learning process, during

A Letter to the University President about the Canteen Service on Campus

Dear Mr President:
I am writing this letter to you just to let you know some of my views about
our about the Canteen Service on Campus. As you know most students, if not
100%, at least 90% of them have meals in the canteens. So it is very clear
canteens play an important role in the students' life. In general, most
students are satisfied with the current service quality. We have a freedom to
have our meals at any canteen as the arrangement of twenty thousands students
share 16 large canteens, each of which is spacious with enough seats. The food
supplied in each canteen has enough variety and good value. The worry for me
and quite some other students is some canteens have lowered the quality. They
purchase low quality food, cooking oil and even meat from some unlicensed
peddlers, which was discovered by a team of our classmates. Food cooked with
such low quality material is a huge risk to the health of our students. I hope
you have been aware of the problem and assign a team to make thorough
investigation towards the problem. I hope the meals in all of our canteens are
safe and healthy.
