Since everyone has their unique method of learning,whether people should learn with a teacher or not really depends on the person.However,based on my experience,I believe that learning with a teacher will definitely make studying easier.
First of all,having a teacher who has more knowledge in the area you learn than you do to teach you will make studying more effective.It is true that certain group of people can learn by themselves by simply reading the text.However,wouldn’t learning be fun if you have someone to transform the boring text into colorful lectures as well as reading the text?Wouldn’t studying be easier if you have someone to answer your questions?By learning with a teacher,you can actually choose between reading a text yourself and listening to the lectures.
Secondly,most people need a motivation to continue learning.Since not all people can maintain their passion toward learning something for a long period time of studying,a teacher is needed to keep them on track.With a teacher’s organized study schedule,students will able to finish a course quicker.
Last but not least,a teacher may not only be a lead of our studying but also a role model for learners.And a role model is certainly significant to a student whose view of the world is being established.For instance,when a physics major student has a professor who has received a famous physics award,the teacher may become his or her role model and make the student be willing to learn for his or her career goal and great honor instead of just getting a degree for applying a job.
In conclusion,the reason why I think learning with a teacher will be more effective is that a teacher helps your understand easily,force you to keep on track,and give you a strong desire to learn.If you prefer to learn by yourself,having a teacher won’t interrupt your way of studying and,therefore,not make any differences.Thus,even though people all have their own ways of learning,I believe learning with a teacher will only benefit you.
