一句話解釋：in/on并非只有介詞這一詞性.懂沒?
再舉一例,on和to都有介詞這詞性吧?那么這個(gè)句子呢：He held on to the rock to stop himself slipping.他緊緊抓住巖石以免自己往下滑.（on與to不也在一起嗎,難道也是錯(cuò)的?）
回過頭來看你的句子：
A failure is a man who has blundered,but is not able to cash in on the experience.
把它分開即：
A failure is a man who has blundered.But he/she is not able to cash in on the experience.
其實(shí)這里的in是個(gè)副詞,cash in整個(gè)是“兌現(xiàn)；乘機(jī)獲利”的意思,而on才是介詞,跟了介詞,后面就可以加上獲利的對(duì)象了.換句話說cash in這個(gè)短語相當(dāng)于一個(gè)不及物動(dòng)詞,可以單獨(dú)使用,如果后面要跟賓語,要加上介詞on.這一點(diǎn)和我的例子hold on是一樣的,on是副詞,加上介詞to就可以跟賓語the rock了,否則hold on相當(dāng)于一個(gè)不及物動(dòng)詞!
