“Tell me what you have done with his cap!”
One afternoon a framer was going to get in wheat.His only son insisted on going there with him.He had to give in and took the boy to his field.The boy played by the boat while he was working.Some time later the boy came to the river without telling his father about it and began to play on the bank..Sudenly he fell into the river and the water almost washed him away.
“Help!Help!”shouted the boy.
At that moment an old man was fishing bu the river.When he heard the boy asking for help,he,without taking his clothes off,jumped into the river and took the boy to safety.Then he left the bank and went towards his house.
When the famer found that his son came back in wet clothes ,he was surprised and asked,“What happened to you,my boy?”
“I fell into the river just now,Dad.”
“Oh,Good Heaven!”the farmer couldn’t help calling out“And how did you come out of the water,then?”
“The grandpa saved me.”
Having heard this,the farmer ran towards the old man,kept up with him and caught hold of his arm.He asked,“Have you saved my son ever?”
“Yes,”answered the old man.
“Tell me what you have done with his cap!”
