People all over the world shake hands for many different reasons.
We shake hands when we meet new people or during special
festivals.Athletes often shake hands before or after games.

Why do we shake hands?Why don't we shake feet?A long time ago,
most people carried knives or guns.When people did not want to
fight,they showed their empty hands.Maybe people shook hands so
they could not hide knives in their sleeves.Later,hand-shaking
became a sign of peace.
Today we don't have to worry about people with guns and knives but we
