老師為什么要你們用這些詞來翻譯這些句子呢?大部分句子會非常僵硬,不自然!口語中那樣說英語就更要不得了.人家會說你 speak like a book.
記住一句話：語法正確的句子不一定是正確的句子.即：人家可能壓根兒就不那樣說.
例如：他車開得好.
He drives very well.(地道中式英語；語法正確,但文化上人家不這樣說.)
He's a very good driver.(真的英語)
我給你譯,但一般情況下,某些句子你別那樣說,人家會說不 idiomatic.
Smoking is not permitted in this room.(permit 在這用可以,但人家一般說：Smoking is not allowed in this room.或：Smoking is prohibited/banned in this room.)
Radios inform us of daily news.(天啦,人家哪會這樣說英語啊?難道老師想不出更好的練習 inform sb of sth 的漢語句子嗎?人家會簡單說：We know a lot from the radio.或：Radios tell us a lot.)
Her feelings could not be expressed by means of words at that moment.(文縐縐,人家可能會說,No words could describe her feelings at that moment./Her feelings at that moment were beyond words.) "be means of" 應為 by means of
He didn't work out that problem and felt at sea./He failed to work out that problem and felt at sea.(字典上有的東西不一定是人家常用的,"at sea" 在英語中幾乎是 dead as a dodo.)
What she had said had a huge impact on her/the children/kids.或:Her words had a huge impact on her/the children/kids.（前一句更自然,雖語法更難,但那是對把英語作為外語來學習的人而言,英語為母語的人不會有絲毫前句難后句易的感覺.）
"她的話對孩子產生了巨大影響." (”產生了" 說明是具體的一次,別用一般現(xiàn)在時.另：一般現(xiàn)在時在非科技英語實際中,不屬高頻時態(tài),可咱中國的老師、學生、教材總喜歡用一般現(xiàn)在時舉例.一般現(xiàn)在時表示習慣性的、反復性的行為或動作或狀態(tài).)
