Lesson 41: Were people healthy then?
　　那時人們健康嗎?
　　It’s Sunday morning
　　星期天上午,
　　Dena Morin and her grandfather, Mr. Morin,
　　are fishingat the lake.
　　迪娜,莫林和她的祖莫林先生在湖邊釣魚.
　　Dena: Grandpa, did people go fishing a long time ago?迪娜：爺爺,很久以前的人們釣魚嗎?
　　Mr. Morin: Well Dena, we are First National people.林先生：哦,迪娜,我們是原住民.
　　Our people came to Canada a long time ago.
　　很久以前我們的人來到到加拿大.
　　At that time, there were no supermarkets.
　　那時,沒有超級市場.
　　Our people always went fishing and hunting for food.我的人總是以釣魚、打獵獲取食物.
　　Dena: Were people healthy then ?
　　迪娜：那時的人們健康嗎?
　　Mr. Morin : They were very healthy.
　　莫林先生：他們很健康.
　　They spent a lot of time outdoors.
　　他們花費(fèi)很多時間在戶外.

　　They worked .他們工作努力.
　　And they ate good ,natural foodlike fish and vegetables.
　　并且他們吃像魚、蔬菜這樣的優(yōu)質(zhì)、天然食物.
　　Dena: Was life hard at that time?
　　迪娜：那時生活艱難嗎?
　　Mr. Morin: It was hard.
　　莫林先生：生活艱難.
　　But people were healthy and happy.
　　但人們既健康又快樂.
　　After a hard day of work,
　　經(jīng)過一天努力工作之后,
　　people rested and played together.
　　人們一起休息和玩.
　　In the evenings, they often made a big fire.
　　在晚上,他們經(jīng)常生一大堆火.
　　Some people played the drums and others danced around the fire.
　　一些人擊著鼓,其他人在在人跳舞.
　　They called this dance the pow-wow.
　　他們稱這種舞為“帕瓦”.
　　Dena:We still have pow-wow dances today.
　　迪娜：今天我們還有“帕瓦”舞.
　　I can’t wait for the pow-wow next year.
　　我等不及明年的“帕瓦”舞了
