The doushantuo from which can be divided into four sections:
(I) at the bottom of the "cap" dolomite,mostly grey-dark gray massive dolomite,visible in the core stromatolite;
(II) the lower black shale segment,mainly in black shale,with thin layered dolomite with multiple layers of p-TB;
(III) in the middle of dolomite,mostly grey-thin layer dolomite with siliceous stripe or lumps,clip black shale;
(IV) section at the top of the black shale,producing the famous biota (the Miaohe Biota).
