選擇疑問句
1、選擇疑問句概述
選擇疑問句（alternative questions）一般提出兩種或兩種以上的可能,問對(duì)方選擇哪一種.其結(jié)構(gòu)可用一般疑問句,也可用特殊疑問句,供選擇的兩部分由or連接,前者用升調(diào),后者用降調(diào),如：
Will you go there by bus or by train?
你準(zhǔn)備乘汽車,還是乘火車去那兒?
What would you like,coffee or tea?
你想要什么,咖啡還是茶?
How many pens do you have ,one or two?
你有幾枝鋼筆,一枝還是兩枝?
2、一般疑問句演化來的選擇疑問句
Is it right or wrong?是對(duì)還是錯(cuò)?
Were you or he there?是你還是他在那兒?
Are they reading,chatting or watching television?他們是在看書、聊天,還是在看電視?
Do you want to go there by land or by air?
你將乘車還是乘飛機(jī)去那兒?
3、特殊疑問句演化來的選擇疑問句
Which do you like better,coffee or milk?
你更喜歡喝什么,咖啡還是牛奶?
What colour is it,red,blue or yellow?
它是什么顏色,紅的,藍(lán)的,還是黃的?
Where are you going,to the classroom or to the library?你要去哪兒,教室還是圖書館?
How shall we go,by sea or by land?
我們?cè)趺慈?走水路還是陸路?
4、or not構(gòu)成的選擇疑問句
Do you want to buy it or not?
你是想買它還是不想買?
Are you ready or not?
你準(zhǔn)備好了還是沒有準(zhǔn)備好?
5、選擇疑問句的答非所問語(yǔ)
選擇疑問句的答語(yǔ)必須是完整的句子或其省略式,不能用yes或no,如：
—Do you go to work by bus or by bike?
你乘公交車還是騎自行車去上班?
—By bus.乘公交車.
—Which would you like,tea or coffee?
你要茶還是咖啡?
—Coffee.咖啡
6、or連接的選擇疑問句
并列部分可以是多種句子成分
（1）表語(yǔ),如：
—Are you an Englishman or an American?
你是英國(guó)人還是美國(guó)人?
—I’m from England.我是英國(guó)人.
（2）狀語(yǔ),如：
—Is the delegation arriving today or tomorrow?
代表團(tuán)今天到還是明天到?
—Today,I think.我想是今天到.
（3）賓語(yǔ),如：
—Would you like coffee or tea?
你要咖啡還是茶?
—Tea,please.請(qǐng)給我茶.
（4）謂語(yǔ),如：
—Shall we watch TV or go to the concert?
我們是看電視還是去聽音樂會(huì)?
—I’d prefer to go to the concert.
我寧愿去聽音樂會(huì).
（5）分句,如：
—Shall I come to pick you up or shall we meet at the airport?
我來接你還是咱們?nèi)C(jī)場(chǎng)碰頭?
