向黎明致敬——把握今天!
Look to this day!
把握好今天!
For it is life,the very life of life.
因為它就是生命,生命中的生命.
In its brief course,
在它短短的進(jìn)程里,
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
體現(xiàn)了你生存的真諦與現(xiàn)實：
The bliss of growth,
生長的福佑,
The glory of action,
行動的榮耀,
The splendor of bearty,
美貌的光彩,
For yesterday is but a dream,
因為昨天不過是一場夢,
And tomorrow is only a vision,
而明天只是一個幻影,
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
但是活好今天,卻能使每一個昨天都成為快樂的夢,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
每一個明天都成為希望的幻影.
Look well,therefore,to this day!
所以,好好把握今天把!
Such is the salutation to the dawn.
這就是你對黎明的敬禮!
This poem reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
這首詩使我想起了我最喜歡的一句名言：
Cherish your yesterdays;dream your tomorrow;but live well your todays!
珍惜昨天,憧憬明天,活好今天!
We are the future of our families,and we shouldn't let our parents
我們是家庭的希望,我們不能讓我們的父母失望!

With doubt and dismay you are smitten,

You think there's no chance for you,son?

Why,the best books haven't been written.
為什么要這么想呢?最好的書還沒有寫成,
The best race hasn't been run,
最棒的賽跑還沒舉行,
The best record hasn't been set up,
最佳的記錄還沒出現(xiàn),
The best song hasn't been sung,
最動聽的歌曲還沒詠唱,
The best tune hasn't been played yet;
最美妙的曲調(diào)還未湊出,
Cheer up,for the world is young!
別灰心,因為這個世界還年輕!
No chance?Why the world is just eager
沒有機(jī)會了嗎?這個世界正渴望
For things that you ought to create;
你應(yīng)該創(chuàng)造的一切；
Its store of true wealth is still meager,
它所儲存的真正財富還很貧瘠；
Its needs are incessant and great;
它的需要龐大而不絕；
It yearns for more power and beauty,
它渴求多些力量和美麗,
More laughter and love and romance,
多些歡笑、情愛和浪漫,
More loyalty,labor and duty,
多些忠誠、勞動和職責(zé).
No chance—why there's nothing but chance!
沒機(jī)會——哎呀,除機(jī)會外別無所有!
For the best verse hasn't been rhymed yet,
因為最優(yōu)美的詩篇還沒寫成,
The best house hasn't been planned,
最漂亮的房屋還未設(shè)計,
The highest peak hasn't been climbed yet,
最高聳的山峰還沒攀登,
The mightiest rivers aren't spanned;
最雄偉的江河還沒架橋.
Don't worry and fret,faint-hearted,
別擔(dān)憂,別發(fā)愁,別膽怯,
The chances have just begun,
各種機(jī)會剛開端,
For the best jobs haven't been started,
因為那些最好的職業(yè)還沒開創(chuàng),
The best work hasn't been done.
最好的工作還沒完成!
No chance—why there's nothing but chance!
